Crime Lords Month is a month too short.
Well, I thought I would have time today to surprise everyone with a MODERN AGE CRIME LORDS deck, but I haven’t put it together yet unfortunately. Even though today I was home from work, it’s errand day (with still more to do). I’m sure someone has thought of this before and it has a long way to go. Here is the first draft of characters:
1 drop Winslow Schott <> Toyman x4
2 drop Black tarantula x4 pay 2 def, +2 atack while defending
2 drop Terra-Man x3
2 drop Natasha Irons <> Starlight x3
2 drop Brainiac 13 x1
3 drop Albert Malik<>Red Skull x4- boost pay 3, search for team up
3 drop Professor Emil Hamilton <> Ruin
3 drop bullseye x4 whenever stuns a defender, ko a resource ko that defender
4 drop Metallo x1
4 drop Atomic Skull, Cursed x2
5 drop Kingpin, overboss x4- whenever stunned stun adjacent dude
5 drop Lex Luthor, Master Manipulator x2
5 drop Lex Luthor, Metropolis Mongul x2
And the possible plot twists are:
Executive Privilege x4 - Searcher
Omnipitance x4
STUN 2 GUYS STUN THEIR ONE x4
TEAM UPS x5
FRONT ROW REVENGE Squad charters get+1 x4
That kingpin/Lex combo ALWAYS amuses me. Maybe I can update this soon.
UPDATE MAY 5th, 08: Some of the original idea doesn’t work, still double checking on the heart of the deck.

So what you’re saying is, you’d like a two-month stretch of Crime Lord goodness? Heh….
No doubt we’ll be revisiting the heyday of Crime Lords Month once we start seeing the Crime Lords previews…

kingpin/lex combo?
what is this?
hopefully it isn’t Lex stunning an adjacent Kingpin, who redirects the stun to a different adjacent character,to net 5 counters. That one doesn’t work since Lex is an “if you do” effect. This means if you do not stun a character, Lex does not net counters.
Barring that, i’m curious what this combo is.

You are right, it doesn’t work. A few months ago everyone said it did on the realms and more recent threads say it was too good to be true so the original idea is scrapped somewhat. However, instead of lex in there, kingpin is still amazing for that stun card (unless that doesn’t work either). I’ve got to look it up and edit this post.
